What’s the drill? February 5 – It’s all about the team

On this Superbowl Sunday, “What’s the Drill” is inspired by what else, football… and a reminder of the difference between groups and teams.

At the most basic level, teams have a “we” focus, whereas groups focus much more on the “I”, the individual.

In order to build team dynamics, focus must be on creating a sense of trust, and openness. Converting a group into a team isn’t easy (ask any football coach), but full support of a common purpose is key.

Applied Improv training is often tasked with team-building. Improvisers live and breathe teamwork through support, trust, openness, communication and dedication the the Improv principles we are taught. Check out the Improviser’s toolbox and find out how you can turn your group into a winning team!
